about us
Our Net-Zero modular Passivhaus construction system is a type of building construction that combines the principles of the Passivhaus standard with Net-Zero energy design strategies. The Passivhaus standard is a rigorous building performance standard that focuses on achieving ultra-low energy use in buildings by maximizing energy efficiency, optimizing passive solar design, and minimizing energy consumption through advanced building systems.
A Net-Zero building is one that generates as much energy as it consumes over the course of a year. This is achieved by using renewable energy sources, such as solar panels or wind turbines, to generate electricity, and by implementing energy-efficient design strategies to reduce energy consumption.
With a modular Passivhaus system, the building is constructed using modular building components that are manufactured off-site and then assembled on-site. This allows for a high degree of quality control and precision in the construction process, as well as reduced construction time and waste.
The modular building components are designed to meet the strict energy efficiency requirements of the Passivhaus standard, including advanced insulation, air sealing, and ventilation systems. The building is also designed to incorporate renewable energy sources, such as solar panels, to generate electricity and achieve Net-Zero energy consumption.
Overall, a Net-Zero modular Passivhaus system combines the benefits of modular construction, energy efficiency, and renewable energy to create a sustainable and high-performance building that is both cost-effective and environmentally friendly.
We develop and manufacture Passivhaus certified building envelopes suitable for different climate zones. Our construction systems, enables Passive House designers to deliver more projects, faster and with the piece of mind that the construction details of the building envelope are approved by the Passivehaus institute.
We learned a few years ago that there is not a single construction system suitable for industrialized construction of Passivehaus buildings or retrofit projects, and since then we’ve been developing the Net-Zero Modular Passivehaus System” for the Cold climate, and “Modular Passive House System VH” for the Very-Hot climate zone. All Other climate zones are covered by our two industrialized construction systems.

Passivhaus certified construction systems can be a valuable resource for Passive House designers because they provide pre-certified building components and systems that have been proven to meet the rigorous energy efficiency requirements of the Passive House standard.
Using Passivhaus certified construction systems can help Passive House designers to:
  1. Ensure compliance with the Passive House standard: By using pre-certified building components and systems, designers can be confident that their building will meet the energy efficiency and sustainability requirements of the Passive House standard.
  2. Improve energy efficiency: Passivhaus certified construction systems are designed to maximize energy efficiency by using advanced insulation, airtight construction, and high-performance ventilation systems. This can help designers to achieve ultra-low energy consumption in their buildings.
  3. Save time and money: Using pre-certified building components and systems can save designers time and money in the design and construction process, as they do not need to spend as much time researching and testing different products and systems.
  4. Ensure quality and consistency: Passivhaus certified construction systems are manufactured to a high standard of quality and consistency, which can help ensure that the building components and systems are reliable and durable.
  5. Simplify the certification process: Using Passivhaus certified construction systems can simplify the certification process for Passive House buildings, as the components and systems have already been certified by the Passive House Institute.

Overall, Passivhaus certified construction systems can be a valuable tool for Passive House designers, as they provide a reliable, efficient, and cost-effective way to achieve the high-performance energy efficiency requirements of the Passive House standard.

How manufacturing affordable modular Passive House buildings can disrupt the construction industry?

Manufacturing affordable modular Passive House buildings has the potential to disrupt the construction industry in several ways:

-Increased efficiency: Modular construction allows for a higher degree of precision and quality control, as building components are manufactured in a controlled factory environment. This can lead to faster construction times, reduced waste, and lower labor costs.

-Lower costs: Modular construction can also lower costs by reducing the amount of on-site labor and material waste, as well as minimizing the need for expensive equipment and tools.

This can make Passive House buildings more affordable and accessible to a wider range of people.

-Sustainability: Passive House buildings are designed to be highly energy-efficient and sustainable, with a focus on minimizing energy consumption and reducing environmental impact. By manufacturing affordable modular Passive House buildings, the construction industry can play a significant role in promoting sustainability and reducing carbon emissions.

-Scalability: Modular construction allows for the rapid and efficient construction of multiple buildings at once, which can help meet the growing demand for affordable housing and other types of buildings. This can have a significant impact on urban planning and development, particularly in areas with high population growth.

-Standardization: Modular construction also allows for a higher degree of standardization, as building components can be manufactured to exact specifications. This can lead to more consistent and predictable building performance, which can be especially important in meeting Passive House standards.

Overall, manufacturing affordable modular Passive House buildings has the potential to disrupt the construction industry by providing a more efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable way to build high-quality buildings.
